Vitamin D in foods

Patient knowledge: in order to get enough vitamin D, it is a good idea to know the contents of the food you eat and the amount of vitamins in them, among other things.

Vitamin D is found in oily fish, in particular, whether it is fresh, smoked or canned. Fatty fish is e.g. herring, salmon, sardine and mackerel. Please note that fish oil capsules do not contain vitamin d. You can purchase calcium supplementation (calcium supplements) with added vitamin D or tablets containing only vitamin D.
