What is sugar?

Sugar comes from sugar cane and is a natural product.
But even if it is natural, sugar is not healthy. For it contains none of the vitamins or minerals that you need in order to function.
Sugar is what we call empty calories – it is clean energy, so you need to make sure not to get too much of. If you eat too much sugar, you'll have no space for healthy food, such as meat or vegetables that contain the nutrients you need.
